Rose M. Velarde Lobato

Our loving and caring mother, grandmother and “Nannie,” Rose M. Velarde Lobato, passed away April 30, 2008. Born on March 26, 1927 in Taos, New Mexico to Joe A. and Manuelita Velarde; she lived most of her life in the Salt Lake area.
She enjoyed adventures to Wendover with her daughter, and she enjoyed visits from her great-grandsons.
Survived by her daughter, JoAnn and son-in-law Ron Bresee; grandson, Eric, for whom she had a special place in her heart; and his wife, Samantha; two great-grandsons, Dominik and Marek, whom she deeply adored; sisters, Teresa Trujillo, Mary Trujillo; and brothers, Fred, Gilbert and wife Cordy, Joel and wife Diana, and David and wife Sue.
Preceded in death by husband, Rudy; parents, Joe A. and Manuelita Velarde; brother, Frank; and sister, Edna Trujillo.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at Riverton City Cemetery, 1500 West 13200 South, Riverton, Utah. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Association.
