Rose Marie Welcher (Harding), age 64. Our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend went home to her Heavenly Father on November 22nd, just shy of her 65th birthday.\n\nShe was born November 23rd, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Naomi LaVon Hess and Lawrence Harding. She was the oldest of seven children and helped raise her youngest siblings.\n\nShe married Bill Welcher in January of 1974. They later divorced, but remained close and dear to each other. Over the years, they raised four beautiful children together; Melinda, Billy, Jennifer, and Kyle. Her early life hobbies included the Powder Puff Derby racing, bowling leagues, and camping with her family.\n\nShe’ll be remembered as a jack of all trades and having the most contagious laugh that warmed the room. You could often find her working in the yard or with power tools. Whenever there was something to fix or build, she’d find a manual or how-to video and master whatever she put her mind to. She loved celebrating the holidays and always decking the entire outside of the house in Christmas lights.\n\nHer later life revolved around her grandkids and great grandkids. They’d often be seen following in her footsteps as she worked in the yard and around the house. She’d watch them any chance she had. She loved putting up the swimming pool every summer so she could play with her grandchildren in the pool. She taught most of the kids in her family how to swim, ride bikes, and many other life skills.\n\nShe leaves behind four children, Melinda (Tom) Burke, Billy Welcher (Jenni Lopez), Jennifer Welcher (Kelly Snow), and Kyle Taintor (Ashley Ercanbrack), her grandchildren, and great grandchildren; her mother, Naomi LaVon Harding; her brother Larry Harding, sister Sandy Leon, brother Robert and (Julia) Harding, Bbother Danny Harding, brother Morgan Harding and brother Lyle and (Rhonda) Harding along with numerous other loved ones.\n\nShe is preceded in death by her husband, Bill Welcher; her father, Lawrence Harding; and her granddaughter, Talysha Wing, along with many others who have embraced and welcomed her to the other side.\n\nA celebration of life will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home South Valley located at 1007 W South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT on December 1, 2021 from 6:00-9:00 P.M.
