Roy Arch Weight

Roy Arch Weight, 80, loving father, grandfather, passed away August 26, 2009. Born July 18, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Arch and Grace Weight. Married Lourien Ludwig, August 20, 1965 in Aspen, Colorado. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple August 16, 1982. Lorie passed away July 6, 1992.

He worked as an upholsterer and was employed by the same company for almost 50 years. He was a hard worker who enjoyed the outdoors. He had a talent for photography. He especially enjoyed being outside and taking pictures of nature. He was very proud of his granddaughters and loved spending time with them.

Survived by two daughters: Terri (Tim) Osborne, LeAnn (Shane) Taylor; six granddaughters: Shelby, Ashlyn, and Kailey Osborne and Chelsey, Shania, and Kallie Taylor and sister Arlene Pechnick. Preceded in death by an infant daughter Stacey, his parents, brother Walter, and wife Lorie.

Funeral services will be on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 12 noon at Corner Canyon 2nd Ward, 13366 S 1300 East, Draper, with a viewing on Sunday from 5-7 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 South Jordan Parkway, South Jordan, UT and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment Draper City Cemetery.
