Our loving Mother, Ruby Douglas passed away on October 3, 2021.\n\n“Rube” as Gordon her husband of 68 years affectionately called her, was born on November 30, 1923 in River Heights, Utah to Abraham and Verena Losser. As a young girl, the Losser family moved to Murray where she lived for over 90 years. She graduated from Murray High School in 1941 and in that same year married the love of her life, Gordon Douglas. Together they raised 6 children: Sylvia, Nancy (Ken), Dianne (Dave – deceased), Carrie, David (Gina), and Debbie. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great-grandchildren. She also was an adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, parents and 9 siblings. Ruby was a dedicated homemaker. She loved her routines! She was known for her baking – the cookie jar was always full! She also enjoyed flower gardening, cross-stitching, crossword puzzles and all the holiday traditions and family gatherings.\n\nShe was a long time employee of Cottonwood Hospital and a devoted member of Christ Lutheran Church.\n\nRuby will be warmly remembered for her pleasant and sweet nature.\n\nWe love you Mom. You will be deeply missed.\n\nA special thanks to Sunrise Senior Living in Holladay and Inspiration Hospice.\n\nDue to the Covid pandemic, a private graveside service will be held. A celebration of her life will take place at later date.
