Rulon George Boyce

–

Midvale, UT

Rulon Boyce, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, uncle and friend passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 in St. George, Utah, surrounded by his family, young and old. We have enjoyed our last few days with him singing and telling his favorite stories.
He was born October 9, 1930 in Murray, Utah to Rulon Claude and Marba Done Boyce. Our Dad met the love of his life in 1st Grade, Colleen (Sally) Reynolds. They were married October 11, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. He graduated from Granite High School and attended Stevens-Henager College. He was always the best salesman, a friend to all and a stranger to no one.
His greatest joy was his family: wife, Colleen; children, Ren (Debbie), Kathy (Max) Oldroyd, Jan (Richard) Farr, Chad (Cindy); 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Cliff (Sherry); and sister, Carol (Earl) Zarbock. Each child, grandchild or great-grandchild knew they were his favorite.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints serving as bishop, high counselor and many other ward and stake callings. Our Mom and Dad served a full-time mission in St. George, Utah. Dad loved food and never ate a cookie he didn't like.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 1, 2016 at 11 am, with a viewing Thursday, June 30th, from 6-8 pm and from 9:30-10:30 am preceding the funeral. Viewings and funeral will be held at the Union Fort 6th Ward, 540 E. 7155 S. in Midvale. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
