Our beloved Rulon Delmar Goff passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 after a 2 year courageous battle with cancer.\n\nRulon was a husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and good friend to many.\n\nRulon was born July 18, 1934 to Rulon A. and Emma Goff. He attended Murray High School but life on the High Seas called to him before graduation. He spent nine years in the Navy where he learned his trade as a welder.\n\nUpon his discharge, Rulon met and married Mary Ann Wynn on November 19, 1965, they missed their 46th Anniversary by 13 days.\n\nRulon worked at Williamsens Trucking and the Dept. of Transportation for 25 years before retiring in 1999.\n\nRulon’s greatest joy was his grandchildren, “his tootsies”. Never was a time you would walk into his home without a sporting event on TV. His yard was his baby, he spent endless hours making it beautiful. Fishing was also a great joy.\n\nHe is survived by his wife, Mary Goff; Daughters, Julie Wells (Lee) and Debra Mortensen (Kent); 6 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 1 sister and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and baby brother.\n\nWe would like to give special thanks to Good Shepherd Hospice for helping us through this difficult time.\n\nA viewing will be on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S State St., Murray, from 6-8 p.m.\n\nRulon left this life quietly and requested we did not have a service for him. We will, although, have a celebration for the life he lived, and for the man we loved, on Friday, November 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the church located at 3045 W. Bernina Drive (5820 South).
