Rulon Kent Page passed away on December 12, 2019, in Murray, Utah, at age 77. He was born in Provo, Utah, on May 22, 1942, to Lendos Hyrum and Beth Howard Page. He grew up playing baseball and knew the game better than anyone. He was a lifelong baseball enthusiast and a die-hard Red Sox fan.\r\n\r\nRulon and Carol Joyce Cox were married on August 7, 1965. They were sealed in the Provo Temple. Rulon earned a degree from BYU in accounting in 1966. After graduating, Rulon and Joyce moved to Murray, where they lived with his family for 49 years. He worked for the State of Utah and retired in 1999 after 33 years. \r\n\r\nRulon was a loving and devoted father of three boys and a girl, and he especially enjoyed spending time with his six grandchildren.\r\n\r\nHe had a sharp mind, quick wit, and a photographic memory. Rulon always had a special nickname for everyone. He was an avid gardener and was proud of his heirloom tomatoes. He loved animals and was often seen with pets following him around. Rulon was a car enthusiast and cherished his 1966 Mercury. After retiring, he liked working on crossword and jigsaw puzzles to keep his mind sharp.\r\n\r\nRulon is survived by his spouse, Joyce, and children: Lance (Kim), Lane (Leigh), Lyle (Heather), and Lindy (Josh) Silverstein; 6 grandchildren; sister, Lenene Badham; and brothers, Randy and Howard. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dick.\r\n\r\nGraveside services will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019, 1:00 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street, with a viewing on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St., Murray.
