Samantha Ray Church Graves

August 24th, 1991 – October 15, 2026

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Samantha Ray Church Graves, who passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2026, at the age of 35.

Sami was born August 24th, 1991 at LDS hospital in Salt Lake City to Kevin and Karla Church. She grew up in South Jordan, Utah surrounded by family and many friends.

She graduated from Bingham High School in 2009, attended college and received an Associates degree. She married Jakob Graves on September 29, 2016.

Sami was known for her intelligence, courage, strength, and incredible sense of humor. She had a remarkable ability to make people laugh, a heart for helping others, and a way of making the people around her feel loved.

Above all, Sami loved being a mother to her three children, Piper (8), Remi (6), and Rafe (4) who were the center of her world. She treasured the time she spent with them and the memories they created together. She loved her children more than anything and still does.

She was also a beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Whether she was helping someone in need, sharing her knowledge, or making everyone laugh with her unforgettable personality, she left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know her.

Sami is survived by her husband Jakob Graves; children, Piper Pearl, Remi Ray, and Rafe Jakob; her parents, Kevin and Karla; her siblings, Mackenzie Smith (Tyler Smith) Nieces Maci McGinnis and Sydnie Smith, Nephew Max McGinnis; and Parker Church; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents David and Nancy Church; her uncle Gordon Ray Church; and her treasured dog Maverick.

A celebration of her life will be held on October 24th, 2026 at 11am at a chapel on 1570 W 11400 S in South Jordan, UT. A viewing will be held at 9:30 am that same day.

Though her time with us was far too short, the love she gave, the laughter she inspired, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew her.
