Sangini Kafoa

Sangini Ongoloka Kafoa, 42, of West Valley City, UT passed away peacefully on September 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family at home.

He was born on July 24, 1984, in Salt Lake City, UT. Sangini is a member of the Free Wesleyan Church of Tonga Laumalie Ma’oni’oni. Sangini is known for his big smiles and love he has for his nieces and nephews. Sangini is greatly loved and missed by many family and friends.

He is survived by his parents Taani Ongoloka Kafoa and Mele Kaipa Kafoa (Hosea), sister, Ana Fotu ( Nai), nieces Minnie and Mele Kaipa, and nephews Lynde, Ofiu, and Nai Jr. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents Sangini Ongoloka and Ana Kafoa, and maternal grandparents Nafetalai Hosea and Ana Tupou Hosea.

A memorial service will be held on September 30, 2026 at the Free Wesleyn Church of Tonga, located at 3650 W. 4400 S., West Valley City, UT starting at 10am. The Kafoa family is grateful for the kindness and support shown during this time.
