Sharon Claire Glover Squires Obituary (1956 - 2012)

Sharon Claire Glover Squires passed away January 13, 2012. Born September 30, 1956 to Harold LaVell Glover and Ruth Emma Lund, she was the fourth of six children. Sharon grew up on a farm in Midvale, graduating from Hillcrest High School. She married Carl Willard Johnson, October 4, 1974. They had one daughter, Charisse Renee. Carl passed away June 24, 1978. Sharon married her eternal companion and the love of her life, Lewis Lawrence Squires on August 5, 1979. Sharon, Lewis and Charisse were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. Sharon and Lewis were the parents of six more children. Sharon was the love of Lewis’s life; they loved spending time together on the river fly fishing. Sharon was a master teacher, she taught many students at Union Middle School and at West Jordan High School. She coordinated the elementary keyboarding program in the Jordan School District where she taught many 3rd-6th graders how to use correct fingering on a keyboard. She also taught the teachers and computer lab aides how to teach keyboarding to their students. She finished her teaching career as a CTE Specialist at CTEC. She was a cherished wife and loving mother. She touched many people’s lives as a teacher and friend. She radiated love and warmth and will continue to do so in heaven. She will be missed but will always be present in our hearts. Survived by her husband Lewis, children; Charisse, Christian (Kathy), Benjamin (Laura), Sue (Troy) Thomas, Adam (Bonny), Mariette (Dave) Sanderson, and Daniel (Jeannie). Siblings; Craig Glover, Diane (Allen) Hunt, Trent (Janie) Glover, 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, and brothers; Scott and Todd. Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 19, 2012 at the River Ridge Stake Center, 10194 South 1000 West, South Jordan at 11:00 am. Viewings will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. So. Jordan Pkwy (10600 So.) and on Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
