Sheila Shaw

Sheila Rae Warr Shaw, age 87, of South Jordan, Utah, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. Born on October 21, 1938, Sheila was the oldest of ten children and carried a profound strength, grace, and resilience throughout her life.

Before opening Lotsa Tots Daycare, Sheila worked as a hairdresser, where she built a devoted clientele who looked forward to every visit. They didn’t just come for beauty treatments, they came for her kindness, wisdom, and the way she made everyone feel cared for. She made her salon chair a safe place to share life’s joys and struggles, always offering a listening ear and gentle encouragement.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Rochelle Rae, whose loss inspired Sheila’s lifelong dream: to create a safe, loving place for children. From that dream came Lotsa Tots Daycare, which has served families in the community for 35 years.

Sheila had a natural gift for beauty and decorating, and her home and daycare alike reflected her warmth, creativity, and joy for making spaces feel comforting and welcoming.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Charles “Terry” Shaw, who cared for Sheila endlessly and tenderly through every season of life. There is truly no one on earth like him. Sheila is also survived by her children: Ted (Cheryl) Shaw, Becci (Robert) Denison, Terri (Mike) Suitter, and Miesha (Kevin) Yates; Chuck (Joy) Shaw, 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Sheila was preceded in death by her parents and 5 siblings.

The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to Dani and Canyon Healthcare Hospice for their exceptional and loving care during Sheila’s final days.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 3:00pm at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway, where friends and family can visit 2-2:45pm prior to the service.
