“Beloved Mother”\nSherry Kay Snyder Halverson, age 52, beloved grandmother, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend was called home by Heavenly Father Monday, July 13, 2009 after a lingering illness. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Margaret D. and Gail O. Snyder on September 16, 1956.\nSherry was a graduate of Cottonwood High School and a life-long resident of the Salt Lake City area. In 1982, she married Blake Halverson (later divorced). They had one son, Cliff, who was the light of her life. Sherry was a long-term employee at Target, which was the start of many enduring friendships.\nSherry will be remembered as a kind and gentle person with a huge heart. She had an especially soft spot in her heart for animals, and she could never turn away strays. Besides animals, Sherry’s other passion was watching movies and the Jazz games with her family.\nAs she leaves us, Sherry is greeted with open arms by her brother Randy and her father, both who preceded her in death.\nSherry will be missed by her mother; brothers and sister, Vicky Snyder Evans, Mark Linda) Scott (Ivy), and Jeff; her son, Cliff; and grandson, Jayson. She will also be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.\nFuneral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, with a family and friend’s visitation and viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
