Murray, UT – Sherry returned to her Father in Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer on Nov. 12, 2016. She left this world peacefully surrounded by her family.
Sherry was born to Ervin & Evelyn Burkhardt on Dec. 8, 1954. She married Tim Wyatt in 1973 and they had four sons. Later divorced, she reunited with a high school friend, Ronald Kunz, and they were sealed in 2012 in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple for time and all eternity.
She is survived by her husband, Ron; father, Erv (Ivy); sons, Tim II (Melissa), Robert (Andrea), Neil, Brian (Scott); 17 grandchildren; sisters, Cherlynn (Kris), Jamie (Norm); brother, Danny (Stacey); step-brother, Bill (Sonia); step-sisters, Jennifer and Anni; step-son, John (Jessie); numerous nieces, nephews; and adopted daughters. Preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn; and grandson, Tristan.
Sherry loved the outdoors and cherished all the time spent at rough out camp with the Young Women of the ward. She loved animals, but especially her Bernese Mountain dogs. Sherry was well known for her annual Halloween party. One of her great joys was the time spent as a tutor and reading aid for the students in the Murray School District. Throughout her life, Sherry was fiercely dedicated to her family and friends. Sherry's influence touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed by us all.
The family would like to thank the many volunteers who shared their love and kindness through their service to Sherry. We also thank Sherry's medical team who cared for her.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be made to help others in their fight against cancer. Utah Cancer Foundation 1121 E. 3900 S. Suite C-230, SLC, UT 84124 www.utahcancerfoundation.com
