Sheryl Cameron

–

South Jordan, Utah

Sheryl Dianne Cameron, at the age of 61, was tenderly released from this earth and rejoined her heavenly family on November 25, 2024.

Known for her playful humour, and welcoming heart, Sheryl was a beacon for her family and friends. There was no one too small or forgotten when Sheryl reached out, she considered all and all were her family. She continuously granted grace and love to anyone that felt alone and she will be sorely missed.

Born on September 16, 1963 to Merle and Sydney Faldmo, Sheryl grew up inspired to overcome hardships and come out the other side thinking of those who blessed her. Her tenacity and spunk carried on through her school years and uplifted those who rallied beside her. She was able to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a mother and instilled her sense of community in each of her children. Her children were her pride and joy, both from the family she was given as well as the family she chose. Her love and support radiates through all she came into contact with and is proudly rooted in each soul who let her in.

Sheryl’s creative drive, and whimsy led her to find her passion in life; teaching. She founded her own preschool after several years of studying and serving her neighborhood in public schools. She was called to be a nursery teacher, and later, primary teacher in her LDS ward. She was able to serve those the best way she knew how; through playful discovery and love. Her children continued to be her life. Every moment was dedicated to building up the minds, hearts, and souls of her ever changing, tiny, community. Her dedication to her community was summed up best when she would repeatedly say, “If they are with me, at least I’ll know they will be loved.” letting those that needed an extra boost or some extra care, feel the love and understanding they were looking for. She treated everyone like they were her own. Fiercely protective, understanding, and loving, her business and home were always open to those that wanted a family.

Teasing was her love language, she created memories of joy and laughter with her sense of humor and come as you are attitude. Her talents and crafts were always put to use by hosting gatherings and gifting handmade treasures. There are so many aspects of Sheryl that will be cherished by those whom she will continue to look after in the next life. She will be remembered by her family made up of all those who found a place to be when there was no were else to go. Thank you Mom for loving us most even when we weren’t the sweetest.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Sydney and Merle, her husband, Guy, and her son, Jake. She is survived by her children; Chad (Amanda), Andria (Nick), Kimberley (Ryan), Samantha (Shawn), and Melissa (Chris), and her grandchildren; Brooklyn, Boston, Blake, Bristol, Addie, Robbie, and Kaia.
