Shirlene Graham Obituary (1931 - 2023)

Shirlene Roundy Godfrey, born august 14, 1931 to Cynthia and Glen ford Roundy in Benson, Utah. Shirlene’s family worked the farm and she was blessed with a sister, Arlene, then a brother, Glen and then her little sister Carol. The family would then moved to Cache Junction. This is where Shirlene grew through her teen years. She met Samuel Vaughn Godfrey from Clarkston, Utah and was married in the Logan Temple. They were the first couple to start working The Hardware Ranch. Vaughn and Shirlene than moved to Great Falls, Montana with her sister Arlene and her husband for a few years. Then moved to Arco, Idaho and with Shirlene’s father they Homesteaded a farm. After a number of years, Shirlene was done with the farming life and she relocated to Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked for Quality Linen and soon was blessed with her only child Clinton. Vaughn stayed on the farm for the rest of his days. In the 60’s, she went to work for Western Food Service where she stayed working into her 80’s. Her journey would bless her with a daughter-in-law Bonnie and three wonderful granddaughters, Chalyce, Tiffany and Cortney. She enjoyed being part of their lives and helping them in all the ways she could. Shirlene passed peacefully away in her home at age 91 on April 6, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Glen & Cynthia Roundy, also siblings, Leona Margie and Dean. Interment will be at the Smithfield City Cemetery, Smithfield, Utah.
