Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on 1-24-2022 of lung cancer. Shirley was born to Albert & Lilian Dell on Oct.22nd 1934 in Salt Lake City, Utah.\n\nShirley was one of ten children and was married to Charles C. Rich Jr. on August 31st, 1956. Shirley worked for Beacon Dickinson 30 years and was a volunteer at Cottonwood Hospital in the baby nursery for 30 years. She also worked at John Paras Furniture over 20 years and loved every minute of it.\n\nShirley loved walking at nights and loved participating in the March of Dimes Walk-a-Thons. She loved entertaining on the Holidays for her family. After retirement she went from one cruise ship to another traveling around the world and spending time at the cabin at Bear Lake.\n\nShe was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved serving for her church.\n\nShirley is survived by her children; sons, Carl (wife Liz) and Perry; daughter Penny (husband Terry); sons-in-law Gary Broadwater and Delwyn Price (wife Kim), 17 Grandkids and many Great Grandkids, Brother Melvin Dell, (wife Cathy). Preceded in death by her husband Charles C. Rich Jr., Daughters Cindy Broadwater and Tina Price including 6 brothers and 2 sisters.\n\nFuneral Services will be Monday, January 31, 2022, at 11:00 am at the chapel on 8350 S. Jackson St., Midvale UT, with a viewing from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. There will also be a viewing held at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St. on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.\n\nShirley will be laid to rest in the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 S.
