Steven Erickson

Steven Clinton Erickson of Murray, Utah, was born August 15, 1953, to Clinton A. Erickson (“Swede”) and Kathleen “Katie” Lucille Erickson. He is survived by his siblings Randy, Craig, and Patty; his nephew Kristoffer Erickson; and his nieces Alysia Martinez, Heather Persal, and Meghan Rose. Several years ago, he welcomed Leslie Towner and her children, Kyson and Ellie, into his family as his own.

Steven attended Murray High School and the University of Utah. He served in the United States Marine Corps and later became an electrical engineer and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). His career took him around the world on major power plant and electrical engineering projects, from Alaska to the Caribbean, including an extended year-long sabbatical in the Caribbean.

He had a generous heart, and his friends became family. He lived with the assurance that Jesus Christ was his Savior. He passed away peacefully on August 31, 2026. Memorial services will be held at the graveside at Murray City Cemetery, in Murray, Utah, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
