He graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1970. In 1983, he married the love of his life, Tracy Park. He often joked he won her over by taking her on their first date in Cecil, his old roofing truck. Together they raised four children. Steve began his career with Kennecott Copper in 1972, retiring as a Machinist; as well as owning a successful roofing business. During his younger years, he was a member of the Bees Club and participated in many Widowmaker hill climbs. Through work and his love of hill climbing, he made lifelong friendships, many of which became more like family.\r\n\r\nThe second love of Steve’s life was his cabin in Manila, UT, where he spent the majority of his time. Many who knew Steve can attest to his famous breakfasts where no one left the table hungry. Steve loved hosting and his door was always open no matter who you were. Many memories were made at “The Gorge” whether it be fishing, camp fire conversations, four wheeling, razor rides, porch sitting, and drop by visits. To know him was to love him, he always had you laughing with his quick-wit and famous one-liners. He enjoyed travelling and being with family and friends, whether it be road trips to NASCAR, cruises, or the annual Halloween hotdog cookout.\r\n\r\nHe is survived by his loving wife, Tracy. Children, Shad (Jen), Brandon (Meridee), Shantel (Mike), Laci (Mike), 13 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
