Susan C. Efinger Obituary (1936 - 2010)

Susan Carvalho Efinger, of Park City, UT passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14th in Salt Lake City. She was born in New York City on March 5, 1936 the daughter of John & Augusta Carvalho. She graduated from Connecticut College with a degree in French. She moved to Utah in 2002 and built many friendships at St. Mary’s Church and Park City Seniors.She raised her family as a single parent and was loved by many of their friends. Her spirit lives on in her four children: Jay and Lisa of Easton, CT; Judd and Lisa of Park City, Utah; Scott and Lynne Efinger of Old Saybrook; and Kristen Johnstone of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Sue also leaves 12 grandchildren whom she was very devoted to and will always be remembered for her unconditional love.She is also survived by three sisters and her cousin: Toni Slifer of Murrels Inlet, SC, Wendy Johnson of Rowayton, CT, Leslie Barlow of Ivoryton, CT and Sally Jesse of Oakland, CA who will greatly miss her.A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Church, Whitepine Canyon Road in Park City, UT on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Adopt-A-Native-Elder, Box 3401, Park City, UT 84060.
