Tammy McKinney Ballard passed away surrounded by her loving family on October 13, 2021 after a courageous and valiant battle against heart issues for the past 20-years. Tammy came into this world on March 4, 1970 to parents Luke and Judy McKinney.\n\nTammy was affectionately known as “Nana” to those she loved and is survived by her husband Dave Ballard, sons Coye (Harmony), Cody (Katelyn) Ballard, sisters Joy and Carol (Alan) McKinney, granddaughter Indie Ballard and a soon to be born second grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews.\n\n Preceded in death and those welcoming her home at Heavens Gates include her parents, her older brother Ted McKinney, and her sister Genie (Dean) Gamble.\n\nTammy graduated from Granger High School in 1987 and during that time she was a dedicated member of the Granger High Dance Team and was known for her infectious laugh and smile. In her professional life Tammy worked in sales for Mary Kay Cosmetics where she inspired hundreds of women earning her car and working towards becoming a national director. \n\nIf one word could define a person that word for Tammy would be “Love.” She loved her family unconditionally and she would go to the ends of the earth to make sure everyone in her family circle felt loved and taken care of. She also loved puppies, dancing, singing, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, traveling, watching her boys play baseball and last but not least she had a special place in her heart devoted to her beautiful granddaughter.\n\nTammy also had a deep love, devotion, and testimony of her savior Jesus Christ. She showed that love and devotion by following in his footsteps living a life of service to others. She wore her heart on her sleeve and was a walking example of what it means to be “Christlike.”\n\nA viewing will be held on Tuesday evening October 19, 2021 at Jenkins - Soffe Funeral Home 4760 S State Street, Murray, Utah 84107 from 6 - 8 p.m.\n\n Funeral Service will be held at the LDS Welby Church House at 8385 South 4800 West, West Jordan, Utah 84088 on Wednesday October 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.. Prior to the service a viewing will be held at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.\n\nFollowing the funeral service, a graveside service will be held at Elysian Burial Gardens, located at 1075 East 4580 South, Millcreek, Ut 84117.
