Tara Casperson Jackson

Mom passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, October 11, 2026 after a long struggle with Dementia. Mom was born May 3, 1946 to John Eliot Casperson and Theomae Hathaway in Logan, Utah.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother, spouse Duane Richardson Jackson, siblings Eric, Elaine, Eliot, Lee, Glen and Arlin, and son David. She is survived by siblings NaDean Bartschi and Linda Crapo; children, Wayne (Binod), Wendie (Cole), Rick (Debbie) Kristina, Kelly (Lily), Debbie, Cindy, Daniel and Rachel. Mom leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her “G”.

Mom was born in Logan, Utah and grew up in Soda Springs and Montpelier Idaho. She married William W Dupin on May 7, 1965 in Soda Springs Idaho. They had 3 children, Wayne, Wendie and Rick. They later divorced. She married Duane “Dewey” Jackson October 8, 1974 in Elko, Nevada. Later solemnized in the LDS Ogden Temple. They were married for 20 years until his passing on March 3, 1995.

Mom’s greatest love was raising her family; spoiling and spending time with her babies. She was a Christmas junky, loved recording hours and hours of cheesy Hallmark movies, reading book after book, sewing, and listening to her music (Elvis), all while drinking obscene amounts of milk and eating junk food.

Life will not be the same without her big bold personality, and she will be missed every single day. But, there is comfort in knowing that she has found peace and has been reunited with her husband, Dewey, and those she has missed dearly.

Mom requested there be no services. Her earthly remains will be taken back to Alaska; a place she believed was the most beautiful land on earth.

We would like to extend our gratitude to Bristol Hospice, for helping mom feeling comfortable and safe at the end.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, Utah Chapter.
Thank you for loving and being a part of her life.
