Tevita Latu Langi

–

West Valley City, UT

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend returned home to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of August 8, 2019 with his loving wife by his side.

Tevita was a devoted father, husband and mentor to many. He took such pride and joy in his children & grandchildren and supported them in all they did. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many different callings throughout his life. He gave unselfishly in the various positions he held, and loved those he served.

Tevita was a skilled builder and craftsman of many trades. He spent many of his days renovating and updating his home as well as his children’s homes. His children knew if there was a man that could fix it, it was him. In his free time Tevita loved playing tennis, racket ball, pickle ball and fishing. He took joy in helping others learn those sports he loved so much. He also enjoyed traveling.

Tevita had an amazing work ethic. He worked for Delta Airlines for 15yrs and focused all he did on providing for his wife, children and grandchildren. There he made many life long friends and spoke highly of them often. While he left us too soon we are comforted knowing he had accomplished his life's mission with humility, love and service to all he knew, and a loving spirit that was kind and generous.

His lasting legacy is his cherished family. He was preceded in death by his mother, Silivia Vaiolingi Langi. He is survived by his wife and devoted companion Luseane Popua of West Valley, Utah where they resided for 32yrs with their children: Ku’uipo (Himinai) Tausinga, Feofa’aki (Chester) Malaeulu, Leslie (Lawrence) Sime, Tevita Langi Jr. (Luseane Havea), Filimone (Lehua) Langi, Silivia (Amoni) Suluka and Viliami (Sunema) Langi. He loved all of his grandchildren: Christina, Vikita, Sunshine, Jay, Tamara, Tangiloto, Luseane, Henele & Little Ku’uipo (coming in December).

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to his Delta Airlines family for their constant support throughout his treatment. Also the medical team of Dr’s and nurses at IHC, and the hospice staff at Elevation Hospice Care, for the care they have given to him and for making him comfortable through his last days. They’d also like to thank The Granger 8th Ward, Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Homes as well as the countless number of friends, family, and neighbors who supported and loved their father through the years. They will always be grateful for your kindness and love.
