Theodore “Ted” Abeyta\n1928-2022\nMurray, UT – Ted passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on June 12, 2022. He couldn’t wait to join his sweetheart of 66 years, Lois, who passed only 13 months prior. In the time since, he never forgot how much she meant to him, and how blessed they were to have such a long and wonderful life together.\nBorn in the small town of Ignacio, Colorado to Candido Abeyta and Mary Salazar. He was raised in Carbon County, Utah where he attended school. At age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving in Germany and France as a combat engineer and translator. Proud of his time in the service, he was seldom seen without his WWII veteran cap and a warm smile.\nIn 1956 he married the love of his life, Lois Parker. They settled in Murray, Utah to raise their family. Both will live forever in the memories of their loved ones: Randy, Jeff (LuAnn), Linda Beesley (Mike), and Sherry Romero (Ken), 12 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.\nTed was very outgoing and genuinely enjoyed meeting new people. His entertaining stories were known to keep everyone laughing for hours.\nOur dad will be truly missed...\nSpecial thanks to all who helped care for him, especially his devoted son Randy.\nA celebration of his and mom’s lives will be held at Jenkins-Soffe located at 4760 S State St, Murray, UT on Monday, June 27th from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
