Thomas Carlson

–

South Jordan, Utah

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tom. He was a beloved spouse, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend.

Tom was born to Lamar and Betty Carlson in Salt Lake City, Utah.

His life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and compassion. He touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was very proud of his long and rewarding career in Law Enforcement and business, but was most fulfilled by and dedicated to his family. For Tom, that is where everything began and ended. Family.

Tom will be forever remembered for his example of how to live a kind, happy and honorable life. He had a deep love for spending time with his family. Boating at Mantua and Lake Powell, traveling, football games, BBQ’s, holiday parties and, of course, he loved his guns. He enjoyed sharing these passions and experiences with his family and friends.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sherry Carlson. He will also live on in four children, their spouses, twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren (with one more on the way) and two siblings who will carry on his legacy of kindness and warmth.

Per his request the family will have a celebration of life Sept. 30th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Bench Towers, Sky Room, 3125 E Kennedy Drive, SLC, UT. We invite you to honor him by giving to the world what he did: Love and commitment to family. All who loved Tom are welcome at the celebration.

Tom may be gone from our sight, but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts and memories of those he touched. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
