Thomas "Ted" Higgs

Thomas “Ted” Higgs of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. He was born on June 27, 1953 to Edward Wilford Higgs and Ada LaVoy Mendelkow.

Ted loved to spend time in the mountains. He proudly owned a 1976 blue corvette. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He excelled in diesel mechanics and was known throughout the Salt Lake Valley for his mechanical workmanship. He loved to listen to Rock ‘n’ Roll music. He loved to party and make new friends. He had strong democratic beliefs. He will be deeply missed “until we meet again.”

Ted is survived by his son Justin T. Henderson and mother Ada LaVoy Mendelkow Lee. He is also survived by his three brothers Frank Thomas, Rex Nicholas, and Guy Gunning, nephews and nieces. Ted was preceded in death by his father Edward Wilford Higgs. Also ready and waiting to greet “Ted” are his favorite dogs.

Ted will be buried at the southeast corner of the West Jordan City Cemetery.
