Thomas Lambson

Thomas Lambson – devoted husband, father, brother, grandpa, and uncle – passed away peacefully at IMC Hospital on July 27, 2022.

Always a friend, Tom was an example of love, hard work, friendship, support, generosity, simplicity, and a genuine concern for all of those around him.

Born July 3, 1958, in Murray, Utah, Tom was the youngest of six children born to Bonner Young and Vivian (Muir) Lambson. He grew up and attended school in Murray, graduating from Murray High School in 1976. In 1978, he met his sweetheart, Wendie Sudberry, at the local 7-Eleven on State Street in Murray. Tom attended Salt Lake Community College and began working as an apprentice plumber, and received his Journeyman plumbing license in his 20s. He began a 46-year career working in the plumbing industry working for Harris-Dudley Co., Western States Mechanical and Salt Lake County. His career led his family to many different places. The Lambson Family lived in Abilene, TX; Lucerne, CA; and finally settled in Murray, UT, where they have lived since 1993.

Tom was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world and he always did his best to support them. Tom had a great love for the outdoors. His favorite hobby was anything to do with hunting and fishing in the mountains. He loved spending time enjoying the great outdoors with his family and friends. He was most proud of his children and his grandchildren and he enjoyed teaching them to have an appreciation for all outdoor activities.

Tom will be greatly missed, and many memories will be treasured by all those that survive him, including his wife of 43 years, Wendie Lee (Sudberry) Lambson, and their two children: Marisa Lambson, Murray, UT and Steven (Hannah) Lambson, Murray, UT.

Grandpa Tom also leaves two adoring grandchildren: Tayler Murray and Greyson Lambson. He is also survived by his devoted sisters, Susan (Eric) McRae, Janet Lambson, his two brothers, Ivan (Kami) Lambson, Chuck (Cheri) Lambson and numerous amazing nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and older brother, Dale Lambson.

Friends and Family are invited to attend and participate in a Celebration of Tom’s Life on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 6 – 9 pm at Murray Park, Pavilion #2, 495 East 5300 South, Murray, Utah.
