Thurman (Gus) Delbert Kinslow Obituary (1930 - 2006)

“Gus” Thurman Delbert (Gus) Kinslow was born April 11, 1930 to Charles & Tillie Kinslow in Edgeley ND. He was the 6th child out of 13 siblings. He passed away peacefully at his home on December 17, 2006. Dad served in the 101st Airborne during the Korean War. Dad took pride in his accomplishment of receiving the “Million Miler” award during his 20 years as long-haul truck driver, retiring with Consolidated Freightways. Dad was a man of many talents, which included plumbing, electrical, car repair, woodworking & making “Special” porcelain dolls for his girls. He loved bird watching and making a safe haven for them in his backyard. He also loved his 3 Yorkie dogs - Peanut, Woofer & Scooby. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Carma Kinslow, children: Kim (Debra) Kinslow, Donna Barnes, Jackie Kinslow, JoLynn (Grant) Tidwell and Terrie (Doug) Jones. “We love you Dad and will miss you like crazy!” Memorial Services will be held Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 pm at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley 1007 W. South Jordan Pkwy. (10600 S) where friends and family may call Wednesday, December 20th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and 1 hour prior to the services on Thursday. Interment Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
