Tracie Desmond Cotton Obituary (1980 - 2009)

Tracie Desmond Cotton passed away on January 15, 2009 at the age of 28 in Layton, Utah after a long battle with addiction. Tracie was born June 16, 1980 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was an outgoing and fun person to be around and always had a special place in her heart for the unfortunate and downtrodden. Tracie loved snowboarding, nature, and butterflies-- as they were a symbol of rebirth and a second chance; she also loved her daughter Rylee very much. Tracie made friends easily wherever she went and all who knew her will miss her enthusiastic personality. She is survived by her daughter: Rylee; Kenyon Cotton; parents: Lynn and Sherrie Desmond; brothers: Greg (Tami), Spencer (Ashley), Bryce (Melissa); and a loving extended family. A viewing will be held Monday the 19th at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary (1007 W. So. Jordan Parkway) from 6-8 pm as well as one hour prior to the funeral. The funeral will be held on Tuesday the 20th at the LDS church located at 1239 W. Country Creek Dr.(10762 S.) at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please donate to www.salvationarmy.org.
