VeAnn Molander Obituary (1941 - 2022)

VeAnn was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho on December 24, 1941, to George Vernon Scott, he being originally of Park City and Vineyard, Utah, and Ann Parkinson Scott of Rexburg, Idaho. Vernon was the son of George Albert Scott of Park City, and Anna Katherina Anderson of Center Creek, Utah. George was the son of Albert Alexander Scott of Rome, NY, and Anna the daughter of Rasmus Anderson and Rebecca Bohn of Castledale and Fountain Green, Utah. The Scott Family was originally from Denmark and Suffolk, England. The Parkinson family was from Lancashire and Cornwall, England. VeAnn was married to Ross W. Clark (Rexburg) for fifteen years. They lived in Portland, Oregon before moving to the Salt Lake area. They were the parents of eight children and were divorced in 1978. In 1982 VeAnn married Karl Gustav Molander. They were married for forty years, having lived in Layton, Utah and Hermiston, Oregon. Later they returned to Utah and settled in the Murray City area. VeAnn was active in music since a young age, studying piano under Nina Wilkins and Ruth Barrus, both instructors at Ricks College. She studied voice under Ruth Jacobs, Richard Condie, Blanche Christensen (U of U), and Joanne Ottley of the Tabernacle Choir. The art of nursing was a major part of VeAnn’s life, her having been an RN for forty years before retiring. She served in many church callings and in the Prison and Inner City Mission. She especially enjoyed being a hostess and pianist in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and singing in the Tabernacle Choir. VeAnn’s favorite pastime was to write very personal essays. She always felt them to be between herself and the Savior, as there was not a better person to share her thoughts with. Very few were ever given out to others, even her family. She took four years to write the “Columbia River Zion Restoration Pageant”, which she believes will be presented during the Millennium when the Savior can take his place within it. VeAnn is survived by her siblings Kay Vernon (Vern) Parkinson Scott of Stillwater, Ok and Battle Mountain, Co. and Arlen Parkinson Scott of Idaho Falls, ID. She is also survived by her children, Kevin Scott Clark of Lake Stevens, WA; Kenneth Scott Clark of Draper , Ut; Leslie Ann Clark Nielson of West Jordan, Ut; Douglas Scott Clark of West Jordan, Ut; Lynea Mara Clark Bednarik of Kamas, Ut; Dylan Scott of Sugar Land, TX; Marisa Lyn Clark (deceased), and Malisa Lei Clark Bowen of Draper, Ut, in addition to 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. VeAnn was currently living in Winchester Estates in Murray, Ut. She leaves her message of love to her wonderful husband, Karl, for his faithfulness in assisting to raise their children. He is a man of integrity and honor to his Savior, Jesus Christ. Karl was a convert in Borlänge, Sweden and VeAnn was born into the legacy of Latter-Day Saint Pioneers. VeAnn passed away on December 15, 2022. She will be laid to rest in the Rexburg Cemetery.
