“Loving Mother”\n\nVera Lucille Hovermale Wightman Frey, age 88, passed away October 21, 2006 in Taylorsville, UT. Born April 6, 1918 in Olympia, Washington to James Elmore and Ann Elizabeth Pinex Hovermale. Married Verden Dale Wightman on March 22, 1940, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, he preceded her in death, married Charles William Frey, later divorced.\n\nMember of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She loved quilting, ceramics and sewing. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in social work. She was employed as a social worker for Primary Children’s Medical Center for many years. In her latter years she dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.\n\nSurvived by sons and daughter, Michael (Elizabeth) Wightman, Timothy (Dixie) Wightman, Maureen Merrill. Step children, Paula, Penny, Jenny. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren\n\nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, where friends and family may call Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Interment Lake Hills Memorial Park.
