Verda A. Worlund Obituary (1922 - 2016)

Verda Alois Jacobson Worlund, 93, passed away February 18, 2016 in Salt Lake County, Utah. Born December 4, 1922 in Goodsprings, Nevada to Alfred Oscar Jacobson and Hattie Ann Powell. Married Carl Robert Worlund January 17, 1948 in the Laie Hawaii Temple. Survived by daughter, Carla Worlund Olsen; grandsons, Bryan Gregory Olsen and wife Bethany Lynn Mohlman, Christopher Jon Olsen, and Jason David Olsen; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Todd Olsen, Hannah Irene Olsen and Jacob Bryan Olsen. Preceded in death by her parents and 20 siblings. Verda spent her life loving her family and serving others. She and Carl traveled the world, finally returning home to Murray, Utah. A viewing will be held at Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, Utah, Friday, February 26, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Little Cottonwood 6th Ward Chapel, 6410 South 725 East, Murray, Utah, Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m., with viewing from 10:00-10:45 a.m. prior at the church.
