Murray, Utah
On Wednesday, November 10, 2021, Heaven gained a beautiful Angel. Vicki passed at home in Murray, Utah with her loving husband Hans Guertler by her side.
She is the daughter of Jack C Jacobson and Margaret Wymore Jacobson born on October 23. Vicki endured many health issues all her life. She always had a smile on her face trying to not let people know the pain she was in.
Vicki was a very loving person. Her Nephews and Nieces loved spending time with her when they were young. She would take them shopping and had so much fun entertaining them. Her love for animals was to be admired. She had many cats in her lifetime. Always the first one to take in a stray with so much love.
She was a very huge fan of Dr. Who and loved wearing her Dr. Who hats. She found happiness going to dances. It helped her to deal with her emotions and pain. She loved to walk, go bird watching, listening to music, anything brightly colored, and shoveling snow at which she was a perfectionist. Decorating for holidays always put a smile on her face, especially Halloween.
Vicki attended the University of Utah graduating with a BS in Chemistry. She went on to teach Chemistry and Physics Labs at SLCC. She always encouraged her students to do good, while making it fun for them. She loved her job.
She married the love of her life, Hans, at the Jordan River Temple on July 10, 2004.
Vicki is survived by her Husband: Hans E. Guertler, Father: Jack C Jacobson, Brother: Donald A. Jacobson (Ann) Sister: Sharlene J. Lindsey (Glen) and many Nephews and Nieces.
Preceded in death by her Mother: Margaret Wymore Jacobson and Niece: Maryann Jacobson Noorda.
Graveside service for Vicki will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00 at the Mountain View Cemetery, 3115 Bengal Blvd. Cottonwood Heights, Utah
An Angel whispered to me
Take my hand and come with me
Your work here is done
I went away to a place
Where’s no tears, nor sorrow
Only laughter and smiles
There will always be a tomorrow
As I move amongst the clouds
I’ll look down and smile upon you
While the angels sing a heavenly song
I’m not alone
All who went before are here
They waited my return
I know you’ll grieve
And I wish I were still here
I am here in the memories
You hold dear
Remember how much I love you
And know I took your love with me
