Viliami Fifita Obituary (1952 - 2022)

Viliami Tautua’a Fifita passed away on September 4, 2022 peacefully at home surrounded by family and love ones. He was born September 20, 1952 in Koloa Tongatapu to Hilamani & Misini Fifita. He was raised in a village called Vaini most of his childhood were he fell in love with rugby. In 1979, he moved down to Salt Lake City, UT where he met his beautiful wife, Pua Taisia Fangupo, and got married in 1981. They were sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple in1985. Viliami was a loving, hard-working man, who loved to play sports and sing. Most importantly he loved to be around all his grandchildren. They were his heart❤️ He loved to take them with him everywhere, even if its to go to the gas station to get ice cream. Family was very important to him. He made sure to always show up and show love at functions whether big or small. He was a small man with the biggest heart. Family gatherings will never be the same. We Love you Dad❤️ Viliami is survived by his beloved wife, Pua Taisia; children: Duane (Lupe), Seneti RIP, Tevita Fainga (Makalita), Sione RIP, Siosiana RIP, Alama (Leslie), ‘Olivia (Jared), and Amelia (Rodney); and 23 grandchildren and counting. Preceded in death by parents, Hilamani & Misini Fifita; sister, Hinemoa Heimuli; brother, Leiane Fifita; and his children, Seneti, Sione, and Siosiana.
