Wally Naylor

–

Salt Lake City, UT

Beloved Husband

Wallace E. Naylor, 92, our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend passed away peacefully on May 24, 2016. He was born September 30, 1923 in Los Angeles, California, the son of George and Florence Naylor. Wally proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked as a Safeway store Manager for 34 years, retiring with 43 years of service. Wally married June Mackay on August 21, 1946 in the Salt Lake City temple. He has been a faithful and active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Wally is remembered for his wonderful stories and pleasant outgoing personality. He made friends everywhere he went. Wally loved boating, fishing, and home improvements. He loved a challenge, was very inventive, and a good problem solver. He also had a great love for music and could whistle any tune. Wally's life was one of service to friends and family, especially his sweetheart, June. We love you Dad; until we meet again.
Wally is survived by his 3 children, Kathy (Rick) Oaks, David (Denise) Naylor, and Shauna (John) Allen; 11 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Floyd, Marlow, and Brent Naylor. Wally is preceded in death by his wife, June and his brother, George Naylor.
We want to give a special thanks to the staff of Brighton House for their loving care and to Intermountain Hospice for their professional service.
