Walter Iwaniec

Walter V. Iwaniec, Jr. passed away on January 16, 2023 in Sandy, Utah. He was born on February 28, 1942 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After 30 years of service in the United State Army, he retired as a Master Sargent. He served over 20 years in the Army Reserves.

Walter had many hobbies including travel, collecting, playing in his garage, fishing and genealogy.

Walter is survived by his wife Barbara Swan Iwaniec, his children Mark Iwaniec, Michael Iwaniec, Max Iwaniec (Dianna), Meg Samora (Brian), seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Frank Iwaniec (Barbara).

A Celebration of Walter’s life will be held on February 1, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Lone Peak Pavilion, 10140 South 700 East, Sandy, Utah.
