Our loving mom, grandma and great grandma Bonnie passed away peacefully the night of February 15, 2022. Bonnie was born in Lehi, UT to Charles Alfred Turner and Mary Abigail Zimmerman on April 29, 1921. She attended Lehi High School where she participated in many sports including; track, basketball and softball. She married Albert West on September 10, 1938 in Salt Lake City, UT.\n \nShe actively cheered on her children and grandchildren in all their sporting events. You always knew she was there because she was the loudest heckler of the referee and biggest support of her family members. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings throughout her life. Her true passion was volunteer work. She spent countless hours as a volunteer: Civil Defense, Salt Lake County Search and Rescue Auxiliary, Pink Lady at Cottonwood Hospital, PTA President at Jordan High School, American Legion Auxiliary, SLCo Library System, she played the ukulele and harmonica with the Golden Oldies Band providing programs at nursing homes and senior centers, but, most of all she loved the Draper Senior Citizens Center and spent hundreds of hours volunteering there until she was 98 years old. She left a legacy of service for her family to follow.\n \nShe is survived by her children Rickey (Sheri), Janalyn (Keith), 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren.\nProceeded in death by her husband, Albert, children: Albert Jr, Gregory, and Dennis.\n \nFuneral services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at Draper 1st Ward building( 12353 South 600 East) at 11:00 a.m. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:45 at the same building. Interment will follow at Lehi City Cemetery.
