“Bud”\nBud Harris died March 13, 2009, he was born on September 17, 1917 in Lehi, Utah to Roy & Nena Christofferson Harris. Bud met Dorothy Wright on a blind date and then married his Honey Bee on September 14, 1939.\nBud attended Cyprus High School in Magna, Utah. He served in the US Navy in World War II. He worked many jobs in the Western part of the United States including the Flaming Gorge Dam, Chevron Oil Refinery and the Kennecott Smoke Stack, also a member of Boiler Maker Local 182 until he retired. He also spent time in India and Africa with his trade skills. There isn’t a thing that Bud could not make from metal or steel. He was also a member of the Retread Motorcycle Club.\nSurvived by his wife, Dorothy; son Steve (Mady) Harris, Riverside, California; Kathy (Bob) Steel, Riverton, Utah; Joni (Ken) Warner, Holladay, Utah; brother, Snub Harris; sister Shirley Livingston and 8 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.\nPreceded in death by daughter Judy Sellers, one great-grandchild, Landon, two sisters, one brother and his little dog Boomer.\nGraveside services will be in Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Elysian Burial Gardens, at 1:00 p.m., 1075 East 4580 South, Salt Lake City, Utah, with a viewing that day from 11:00-12:45 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray.
