Wayne Pearce

Wayne A. Pearce of Murray was born April 22, 1940 to Ruth and Alton Pearce. Our precious dad left this earth on August 27, 2022 to join his Sweetheart, Nancy Richards Pearce on the other side; whom he was married to for 47 years. They renewed their vows and celebrated a memorable evening with family, 4 months prior to his sweetheart passing away from cancer.

They had four children. Jerry (Sandy) Pearce, Cottonwood Heights. Tony Pearce, Murray. Joni (Guy) Howe, Herriman. And Travis (Shannon) Pearce, Manila. They had 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Wayne was a hard working man. He worked at Kennecott for 33 years and was known as “buzzard”. He was was an incredible husband and father, always putting his family first. He coached little league football, baseball, basketball; and was a boy scout and Webelo's leader. He raised and showed pigeons, chickens, and other various animals. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, and wood work.

He always kept himself busy throughout the years. You could always find him working on cars. He was a very kind man, very social, friendly, funny, upbeat, and optimistic. He always had a smile on his face, laughing, and joking around. He was full of life.

We love you dad, we will miss you tons! Give mom a big hug from all of us.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday August 31st ,1100am. At the Murray city cemetery. 5490 South Vine Street.
