Wendi Sue McNeff was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and loyal friend. She left this world suddenly and unexpectedly on October 18th, 2022 at the age of 51. Her strength and courage will live on through her loved ones who will continue to honor her legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
Wendi was born to Roger and Joyce Withers on July 17th, 1971 in Murray, UT. After graduating from Bingham High School, Wendi attended LDS Business college which began a 30-year career in the field of accounting. Shortly before her passing, Wendi was promoted to a position of Executive Controller, an accomplishment she was extremely proud of. Wendi met Matthew McNeff, her spouse and soulmate, in January of 2015 and together they blended a family of five amazing kids.
Wendi loved spending time at home, tending to her roses and vegetable gardens. Family, friends and neighbors would begin dropping hints in late summer as to when her famous salsas and spaghetti sauce would be canned. Wendi also loved to travel and explore new places, knowing that any place with a beach would bring out her gregarious laugh and her infectious smile. Wendi always put the needs of other above herself, happily bringing meals to friends and family in need or helping care for loved ones when they were taken ill. Wendi took great pride in her crafting and decorating skills and made sure her home was always filled with scents of the season. But above all, Wendi valued and cherished quality time with her family. A perfect day in Wendi’s eyes was spent playing with the grandboys, gathering around the table for a family dinner, or curled up in her favorite Minky blanket with her husband as she cheered her beloved Seahawks.
Wendi is survived by her husband, Matthew; her parents Roger and Joyce Withers; her children: Tyler J. Powell (Jessica Powell), Alexis M. Ott (Logan Ott) , Rylee A. Blankenstein (Wes Blankenstein), Madison R. McNeff and Conor J. McNeff; her grandchildren: KJ and Cyrus Powell, Jace and Jordan Ott, Wyatt and Mila Blankenstein and Brooke Rodriguez. She is also survived by her two brothers Kevin and Brady, and her sister Tawni Withers.
A funeral service is scheduled for 11am on October 27th, 2022 at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel in South Jordan. A viewing will be held from 6pm-8pm on Wednesday October 26th, as well as 10am-10:45am on October 27th before her memorial service.
