“Hal”William Halvor Madson was called home October 25, 2012. Hal was born on March 19, 1931 in Payson, Utah to William Hyrum Madson and Emma Elena Tanner. He married Terry Rae Perkins in the Los Angeles Temple on July 19, 1963 and his two children, Traci Lynne and Brent, were the light of his life.He loved his fishing and his BYU teams. He was a principal in the Murray School District until he retired and then worked another ten years as their computer specialist. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and held many callings. He served as Bishop in the Murray 11th Ward and was a counselor in the Stake Presidency. He also served five LDS missions throughout his life, twice going to Russia. He loved to square dance and taught all of the elementary kids from kindergarten through sixth grade how to square dance and clog.He is survived by his wife and children; a daughter-in-law Debbie (Robinson) Madson, and three beautiful grandchildren, Hyrum Brent, Keeley Rene and Cody Tanner, along with Traci’s four-legged kids, Tacoma, Halle and Jagger. He is also survived by his brother Raydon (Iris); sister Melba (Max Nelson), four sisters-in-law; one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. He was dearly loved by friends and family, but we will see him again. We are only separated for a moment.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Murray 10th/11th Ward Chapel, 5750 S Nena Way, Murray. Viewings will be held Tuesday, October 30, 2012, 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, and 9:45-10:45 a.m., prior to services Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at the church.
