"Wild Bill"

William W. Wagner, Jr. passed away from leukemia complicated by pneumonia on October 13, 2014 surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born June 11, 1959, the loving son of William and Sue Wagner and lived in the Salt Lake area all of his life.
Bill Jr. was a loving husband. He met and married the love of his life, Cindy and they lived a wonderful life together in their home in Syracuse.
Bill was a loving father to his son, Tyler; and a loving stepdad to Andy, Emily, Alex, and Ellie; as well as a loving grandfather to his grandchildren. He was also dearly loved by his nephews and nieces who knew him as "Uncle Buh", children loved Bill.
He lived his life with strong values and a dedicated work ethic that he was taught at the feet of his parents. He had a special sense of humor, and the family never knew what kind of birthday card they would receive from him. Bill earned his Eagle Scout rank at the age of 14. He was a strong competitor in baseball, softball and golf. He worked professionally for Century Link as a construction project administrator. He loved hunting and fishing and took his son, Tyler with him on many hunting and fishing outings. He later met a devoted hunting and golfing companion, Ken Cahoon whose wife Decca patiently supported their adventures.
He is survived by his wife; son, Tyler; 12 grandchildren; parents; brother, John; and sisters, Jennifer Tholen (Sterling), Kathy Angus (Mike), Paula Sanders (Jared).
We gratefully acknowledge the physicians and staff of the Leukemia and ICU Centers of the LDS Hospital that did all within their capabilities to restore Bill's health.
Visitations will be held Friday, October 17, 2014, 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State Street, Murray, and on Saturday, October 18, 2014, from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
