Zachary Smith Obituary (1984 - 2023)

Zachary Gustone Smith, born to Jeffrey and Joddi Smith at the Naval Hospital in Pensacola, FL on July 9, 1984. He passed away peacefully June 2, 2023. Zach had a quick wit and awesome sense of humor, and loved to play pranks on his friends and family. He was passionate about Golf and Snow Boarding. He was a very skilled Carpenter, Painter and was always helping people remodel their houses. Zach had a unique way of showing how big his heart was. Even in times of handling his own life’s burdens, Zach would offer his help and support to those in need or in trouble. He was an amazing man and the world was definitely a much better place with Zach in it. The most admirable trait in Zach was his absolute, undying love for his beautiful Daughters, Veda Rose Smith (age 5) and Bella Ryder Smith (age 3) and the love of his life Tera, who is the mother of their girls. It was so wonderful to see the love his girls had for him, and when “Daddy” came home his girls would jump for joy with hugs and kisses even before he could put his tools down. They were always hanging off him and all he could was laugh. It was truly awe-inspiring to see how Zach paid so much attention to his girls. He went along with pretty much anything including letting them “make daddy up to look pretty”. That was hysterical and such a reminder of how Zach loved and adored his beautiful little girlies. Those girls were his life-force and drove him to want to be a better man and father. Zach was preceded in death by his Uncle Brian Schiell, His Grandad Bill Schiell and Uncle Ron Stansfield and so very many of his friends. He is survived by his Mother Joddi Austin, his Father Jeff Smith and his Dad Jeff Austin. His Grandmother Faith Schiell, his Uncle Scott and Wife (Aunt) Robin Schiell, His Aunt Tracy and her husband (Uncle) Ray Young and their sons (Cousins) Jordan and and Josh Young. Aunt Karri Stansfield, her daughters and Zach's Cousins Amanda Patterson and her Husband Casey and their son Oliver and Samantha Foote. We miss you Zach. Although you aren't with us in body, you will always live on in all of us in spirit. Remember to take good care of Rue-Rue who was there to meet you at Rainbow Bridge.
