Zena C. Casey Obituary (1920 - 2009)

Loving Wife & Mother Our loving mom was born August 26, 1920 to Archer N. and Ida Marie Hansen. Married Roy S. Casey May 31, 1941. Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend passed away April 12, 2009 surrounded by her family. Zena lived a long and happy life and while she had many accomplishments and numerous friends, her greatest joy was her family- we will miss her dearly, but celebrate that she is now at peace and reunited with her loving husband. Survived by her children Kathie Kielbasa, Michael (Trudy), Robert (Leslie), Ann Martinez (Paul), Mark (Debbie), Charlene Hales (Don), Sandra Hughes (Rob). Daughter-in-law Carol Casey. 26 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and sisters Marcell Montgomery and Carol Memmott. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Roy, son Roy Thomas, grandson Calvin Christopher Kielbasa, son-in-law Calvin E. Kielbasa and 3 sisters Norma, Dora and Lucille. Special thanks to Caregivers Support Network, especially Lana, Mikelle and Shauna, also the nursing staff 8th floor of the LDS Hospital, all of whom went above and beyond in caring for mom. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 12 noon at the LDS Belvedere Ward, 607 East Downington Ave., Salt Lake City, Utah, with a viewing on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Murray, and one hour prior to services. Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
